A visual, browser-based interface for SVGO — drop in an SVG, tune the optimization settings, and see the file-size savings and visual diff live.
Why we recommend it
SVGO is the standard tool for shrinking SVG file size, but it's a command-line tool by default. SVGOMG puts a real interface on it, so you can see exactly what each optimization pass changes before you export.
Strengths
- Free and open source under MIT. Live before/after preview, granular control over which optimizations run, made by the same author as SVGO itself.
Keep in mind
- One file at a time — there's no batch processing for optimizing a whole folder of SVGs. Aggressive optimization settings can occasionally distort complex paths, so the preview is worth actually checking.
