Five tools we built and host ourselves. All of them run entirely in your browser – nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored on our servers, and none of them need an account.
The tools
- Colour palette generator – build a palette from any base colour using seven harmony rules, with contrast data and colour-blindness simulation built in.
- Colour contrast checker – check any pair against WCAG AA and AAA for normal and large text, with a suggested fix when it fails.
- CSS gradient generator – build linear, radial and conic gradients visually and copy production-ready CSS.
- CMF spec sheet generator – build a colour, material and finish sheet a factory can work from: grain, draft angle, Shore hardness, Ra, gloss, UL94 and UV stability, per part. For industrial and product designers.
- Invoice generator – create and print a freelance invoice with per-line tax, discounts and your own logo. Nothing uploaded, no account.
Why these are free, and what that costs you
Nothing. There is no account, no usage limit, no email capture and no upsell. They exist because this is a directory of design tools and it would be odd to run one without making any.
Being straight about the trade-off: because everything runs client-side, your work is not saved anywhere we can reach – which is the point, but it also means clearing your browser storage clears your palette history. Nothing is recoverable from our end, because we never had it.
Looking for something we did not build? The full directory has 473 hand-reviewed design tools, each with its real drawbacks listed.
