Why we recommend it
When you need one specific icon that your main set does not include, browsing whole icon libraries is slow. SVG Repo is built for search-and-grab, and exposes licence information per asset so you can tell what is safe to use commercially.
Strengths
- Enormous breadth — it usually has the obscure icon nothing else does. Licence filtering is prominent, including a large public-domain pool. Edit colours and download or copy the SVG directly in the browser.
Drawbacks
- Assets come from many sources, so icons rarely match in stroke weight or grid — fine for one-offs, poor as a product's icon system. Licence metadata is only as accurate as the upload, so verify anything commercially important. The site is ad-supported and applies aggressive bot protection.
