Command-line accessibility testing that runs in CI pipelines.

PriceFree

Why we recommend it

Automated testing catches perhaps a third of accessibility issues — but running it on every commit means that third never regresses, which manual audits alone can't guarantee.

Strengths

  • Runs in CI, catching regressions before release
  • Tests against WCAG 2.1 rulesets
  • Dashboard available for tracking over time

Drawbacks

  • Automated tools catch only ~30% of real accessibility issues
  • Still requires manual testing with actual assistive technology
  • Command-line setup assumes developer comfort
