Renders After Effects animations natively on web and mobile as JSON.

PriceFree

Why we recommend it

It solved a real handoff problem: designers animate in After Effects, developers ship the actual vector animation rather than a video or a GIF, at a fraction of the file size.

Strengths

  • Tiny file sizes versus video or GIF
  • Resolution-independent and scriptable at runtime
  • Native runtimes for web, iOS and Android

Drawbacks

  • Only supports a subset of After Effects features
  • Complex animations can be CPU-heavy on low-end mobile
  • Debugging unsupported effects is frustrating
