Turns a picture of a real person, object or piece of furniture into a clean line drawing and exports it as DXF, SVG and PNG, ready to drop straight into a CAD file.
Why we recommend it
Most vectorizers trace pixels, so a real picture comes back as a tangle of curves around every shadow. pic2CAD reads what is actually in the picture and draws it as a line block, the way a draughtsman would. It is built for architects who want their own entourage library made from their own people and furniture, and for laser cutting, engraving and print. It exports DXF, SVG and PNG in one go, which most vectorizers do not.
Keep in mind
- Output is a traced line drawing, not measured geometry, so dimensions need manual scaling.
- Free tier export limits and any watermark or resolution caps are not documented on the site.
- DEPRECATED: raster tracing cannot recover hidden edges or true depth for 3D CAD models.
